What are the risks factors included in hair transplantation?

Like every other medical procedure, treatments and therapies, the process of hair transplantation carries out a number of risks. Hair transplantation is quite a long procedure and the most important factor to be kept in mind is the fact that several transplantation sessions may be required within 1-2 years, depending on the total degree of the patient’s hair loss. A few complications like infections and some significant scaring may be seen although these are really very rare. After the completion of the operation, slight amount of pain that can be totally controlled by pain relievers, a sensation of little disturbance, some amount of light bruising and a bit of swelling may be observed. A slight bit of numbness may superficially occur in the areas from where the hair is taken or even in the areas where the hair has been transplanted and this recovers spontaneously within 2-3 months.
